Not sure if this is the right thread, but I'm not very familiar with GM.
Anyways a buddy of mine is going to get an 04 (not sure whether or not it's a 04.5 or an e04) duramax. Trucks stock right now but hes going to be doing some performance upgrades so he can pull his 5th wheel horse trailer, and of course toying around street racing. We're looking at the PPE Economy Xcelerator & the Standard Xcelerator.
Is he going to have to worry about his transmission with the hot settings with either of these programmers? I know that Allison is a great transmission, but can it hold the 220hp that the Standard Xcelerator can add, without having to worry about anything screwing up?
