JD Hy-Gard in a G56

Also interested in this... Im running royal purple atf as of now and have noticed a considerable decrease in metal shavings on the end of the magnetic drain plug...but its not cheap. If Hy guard worked better I'd be ready to switch.

Why bother with similiar or improved ATF-type fluid in a manual gearbox?
Everyone knows that Automatic Transmission Fluid is designed for converters, clutches & hydraulic circuits, right?
Like comparing beer & coffee - sure, you can drink both, but...

Operating a G56 with +4 typically results in needle-like tooth-face splinters <.100" on the magnetic drain plug; higher-HP or towing applications exhibit splinters up to ~.150" (any longer and they're usually accompanied by a case full of 8620 gravel!)
ATF+4 use results in higher operating temperatures & noise level, often premature failure of the front input shaft & mainshaft bearings under load, and even outright structural failure of the helical tooth profiles.

Gorilla Juice (for which there is no substitute) addresses all of the above.
Full-synthetic 85-140W carrying a GL-6 rating with an unmatched EPL package and an equivalent 30W engine oil viscosity - it's simply the best cushion for helical gear contact.
