Lift pump

Ok guys I was planning on just putting the 12v spring in my airdog2 165 it's the older style one but I've heard that you will burn up the pump and I need to get a fass 220 or a1000 is that true or will the 165 flow enough thanks

I have the same question except with a ppump 24v and a 150 with 40 psi spring
