Well I have some things to say and I will start with this.....
I would like to thank the crew, and their wives,at SGS Performance for once again allowing us to have another show with them.Their continued dedication to making the show keep flowing is what makes our experiences with them so enjoyable. They are a great shop, owned and operated by first class people and their ladies and we appreciate all their efforts.
I want to also thank ALL of those people who participated and also those who donated to make this weekends charity event a huge success. With the number of competitors,25,and the other donations, which included a generous one from SGS, we made a total of $500.Those of us who knew Curt really appreciate all the effort to make this a success.
Thanks to the weekends Chef's,Chef Keith and Sous Chef Neal on Saturday and on Sunday Chef Keith and the pair of Sous Chef's Chef Larry & Neal for their wheeling of our grill to feed the masses. We also need to say thanks to those who brought stuff along to make lunch even better.I know I really liked the chili on Saturday and wished I could have gotten more than the small dish I had,it was awesome.
I was really amazed at how many trucks we had on hand for both days shows. It was nice to see the people out and enjoying the nice weekend with us.I know we did not get a count but we had the upper field full both days with some of the East's nicest looking diesels. We appreciate the nice turn outs and know our shows would not be anything without the great people who come and enjoy them.
Last but not least as I am wore out and going to call it an evening.
Last night I poured though piles and piles of my dyno sheets trying to come up with the best idea for a number to dial my truck for this shootout.Curt had done ALOT of work on my fuel system and the previous turbo to help me get my truck sorted out and trying to win this meant alot to me.Many calls were made back and forth as he was as interested in how the truck was responding to the changes we made as he did care alot about his work.To say I was very happy when I realized I did win it was an understatement and it meant alot to me.
Curt is missed by many of the Mason-Dixon TDC members, local pullers, friends and family,he is gone but will not be forgotten.........Andy
