PRO STOCK DIESEL 4x4 TRUCKS

In what has become the premier division for high-powered diesels in this part of the country the USA-EAST class drew competitor from three states to Mercer Raceway Park for the season opener. A total of 26 trucks entered the class with ten of the top machines having full pulls! Of this group there was only one Ford and that truck ended up with the victory and the long-distance travel award at the same time. Tom Nicholas from Johnstown, New York travelled over seven hours to take the win with his Cummins-powered Ford named “The Juggernaught”. Tom has two wins this year after taking the win at Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, NY last week-end and has marked himself as ‘the truck to beat’ in 2010. John Lorenz from Dover, Ohio was 2nd with the “Gray Wolf” – the truck that has taken the USA-EAST crown the past two season. Third went to Joe Gambino and the “Brother’s Diesel” Dodge from Springville, New York while Sam Tatalovic from Guys Mills, Pennsylvania was fourth with “Gone Wild”. Fifth in the class was Vince Aftuck from Scio, New York with "Hard to Deal With" a Dodge that was built at Enterprise Engine in Ohio.
