Are you getting the upgraded fully splined shaft or just replacing the nut? Im doing the same thing saturday and Im cheaping out and just putting the revised nut...

Nah. Since he gaurantees his work, I'm gonna let him do his thing on it. He said that he is gonna double nut it. If that don't work, he will do the shaft for free.

Broke the teeth completely out. Tranny guy replaced it & only charged me $50. for the part installed. Big Thanks to Bobby Hodge at Hodge transmissions.

Just did that to mine a couple months ago, I thought it was the fifth gear also.

Yeah, it is fixed now though. I had the guy fix the transfer case as well. Better than new now.
