Hello all, just thought I would update on my latest build. 2 years ago I pulled my engine out and tore it down to a short block and then built it back up with all updated Ford parts, OEM headgaskets, APR's, 155/30's, MTW Durastroke, R/R fuel system, 4" MBRP exhaust. Last year I added a Airdog 150. I sled pulled a couple times last year and never thought I would do good, just figured I'd try it. I had traction bars and suspension stops and I ended up with a couple 3rd and a 4th place finish against about 20 trucks. Top 2 are Duramaxs that are trailered in. My buddy says they are 550-600 HP trucks. I called Adrian and talked about my goals. He told me that he could build me a MadMax that would pass work stock rules and a 2.55 in plug would not fit in. We spoke a few more times before I made my final decision. I sent it in and had it back in 3 weeks. I needed it by the weekend and Adrian promised it would be here by Friday. He called me at 11:30 on Thursday night asking fory address and it arrived at my house Friday at 12:45pm. Wow, he really went out of his way to make sure it made it too me. The turbo looks great. I told him to just leave the cover plain and reuse the stock bolts. I didn't want anything shiny or new bolts because I don't want to attract any attention. Adrian called me twice on Saturday to see how things were going. Once I got everything done, I fired it up. Man this thing whistles like a son of a b##ch. It sounds like a jet. Idling it sounds like an absolute beast. Took her out for a spin and was running my IDP extreme street for my original stage 1. It spools just as fast as the original, but there is a huge difference mid and top end power. I then loaded my Wildman tow tune and pulled my 10k boat home from storage and it pulled like a champ. EGT's never got over 1300 degrees. Then I loaded my SPD and holy sh$t, it hauls azz! I haven't done any WOT 0-100 runs yet because I'm worried about my transmission. I put a PI Stallion converter in when I had the engine out, bit still leery. I am going to take it to Andy Warren and get the trans done. I was going to get my injectors turned into 190/30, but the lack of time and money put that on hold until next year. I took my best friend for a ride who is a Duramax guru. He has 5 duramax from stock to a 950 HP dually to a 1800 HP puller. He was very impressed and said he wouldn't be surprised if it mid to upper 500's HP. I can't wait to get some new tunes made for the turbo. I'm going to give Drew from BackRoad Performance. I hear he has tuned a few MadMax turbos.

I also put a Full Race ported intake from WPE. The intake is awesome also. It looks good, it wasn't warped at all, and the welds were perfect. I also got it unfinished again to draw no attention to my engine bay. It was between an APEX intake and WPE, but the wait was too long for the APEX and I wanted to show that I'm not biased one way or the other.

I am fully satisfied with my new turbo. It has been the best upgrade yet and I can't wait for after my transmission gets built and new tunes written, to see the full potential. My first pull I'm going to is on June 21st. I hope I can gain some ground against these Duramaxs. I will update this thread as needed. I want to thank Adrian for taking his time to talk to me and build me an awesome turbo and for getting it shipped overnight. And of I decide to go bigger in the future, I will look at getting another one of his turbos. Maybe his "Monster" or whatever he come up with next!

Now I realize why this forum has gone down hill. You try to post something new about your truck and it gets all shot down. My truck was a shy under 500 before the ported intake and new turbo, but that's alright I see why everyone has left this site. It is full of a bunch of F*#k tards.
 
Says the guy who hasn't posted here since 2012 and only comes back to pimp a turbo builders stuff. Sound about right? Gave you a deal and you pimp it on all the forums

I didn't get any deal. I paid for everything fair and square. I'm not a regular poster on any site. I'm a reader and I follow threads. I see guys all the time that post the same exact threads on multiple sites and I don't see a single person say anything like this to them. I only speak the truth. If it turned out to be a dud, I would post that too. That's why I purchased items from 2 different guys who don't see eye to eye, to show that I'm not biased. Are you telling me that others on here don't tout their new stuff and where it came from? Are they PIMPING? I guess not posting in every thread makes you a PIMPER. Funny thing is, I been in this forum before you. I guess I should have welcomed you when you joined.:welcome:

Is a MadMax turbo like the "cheetah" turbos that Danville and Fleece (and others) do for the Duramax? Stocker with fance wheels and hogged out housings?

Where abouts do you pull?

Thanks Man, and yes it is, I believe that specs are the compressor wheel is 66mmx90mm and the turbine wheel is a 10 blade from a GT40 instead of the stock 13 blade GT37. I believe that is correct. I just pull a couple local one that FPP puts on. I don't follow that whole schedule, but I like to come out and hold my own on my local tracks. Mostly Burton, Ohio.

I'm sorry... perhaps I didn't make my self clear, or perhaps I was confused by a Duramax profile pic and the use of Mad Max or Druastroker or whatever 37 times in your original post, for you to be posting about making 500 Hp in a 6.0........ Without a signature about what you were making it in, and 47 broken pic links so we couldnt tell what you were working on without having to follow the links.....

Glad you speak the truth. That is great.
