I got these from a friend of mine, he said they were out of a john deere pump and were around the size of a 191. What do you guys think? The shoulder height says 1.71 and the numbers on the dv's are 052/105. Thanks guys!

066" is fairly close to a stock 131 delivery valve's shoulder width.

So would there be any performance upgrade by switching out my 181's with these?

John

Supposedly putting a 131 valve in a 181 seat flows more fuel. I tried this and it actually gained a little in the higher rpm(nothing like a performance dv, but it was free). I also agree that it looks like a 131 due to the flute coming up closer to the shoulder.

191 have less than half that width shoulder and would flow a lot more fuel than those.

Is there a way I can turn. The shoulder down on my metal lathe to make them flow more?

John

Lot's of people do, just go to .030" and try that first. That ~where a Bosch 191 is at width wise.

OK I'm going to try that. Should I just use the stock 181 seat with the modded DVD?

John

Yes I would. Once you have them turned down, lap in the seating area for a good seal. And remove any washers under them If there are any.
