Howdy,

Looking at the source automotive laminated flexplate, but dont want to cough up the cash for a billet flexplate.

Anyone have one for cheeper than the 275$+ shipping from source auto?

Thanks in advance.

I'm hearing rumors of them needing to be shimmed? Any truth to that?

The first laminated flex plate I got pushed the TC into the pump. Make sure when you bolt the trans up, that the TC still has clearence and isn't in a bind.

The TC needs to be able to slide back and forth at least 1/8" after bolting the trans up/before bolting the TC to the flexplate. IF you have that you are good to go.

I have that one, and it should've been shimmed in my truck, thats been quite awhile ago and it seems ok.
Shim is layin in the shed waiting installation.
