im wanting to put a cummins in a pulling tractor and i was wondering if any one knew how a rotor pump or inline p7100 pump motor would run with out the turbo and if i would have to put flat top pistons in it to make it run properly

The bowls make for a better combustion, keep them.

Either way, you are going to have to detune them a LOT. Not really set to run without a turbo.

If you are pulling and swapping in a Cummins, why not keep the turbo??

the rules wont let me run a turbo antique tractor for pulling

I dont think you will get a cummins to run good without the turbo. I would look into a older ford 6.9 or 7.3 naturally aspirated diesel, if you can run a V8.

I agree, when my buddy seized the turbo on his 94 my 6.9 would have ate him for lunch. They werent designed to run non-turbo

Also, what tractor is it going in? The Cummins and maybe the 6.9/7.3l's might eat the rear end alive.

More info man. We can help.
