I was thinking to upgrade my he351ve.
I run this turbo in my twin setup together with s475 and with out west gate.
Originally it has 60/86 compressor wheel. So I was thinking to upgrade it 62/86 compressor wheel. Is there any comp. housing available or I have to machined it?
Second thing I was wondering is how well it will work together with 70/60 turbine wheel? How it will act when comp. wheel inducer dia. is bigger(62mm) than turbine wheel inducer diameter(60mm)?
Or it's not a problem in VGT turbos?
Or it's better to add just a westgate and not mess with the bigger comp.wheel?

Any ideas and discussion are welcome.

I would look for a an he431, it will flow a little more and help out with DP.

HE341 ->comp 53-76 turbine 69-60

HE351 ->comp 60-86 turbine 70-60

HE431 ->comp 60-85 turbine 76-67

HE451 ->comp 60-90 turbine 80-70

HE451 ->comp 60-90 turbine 74-60

HE551 ->comp 71-108 turbine 86-75

Exhaust flow is the restriction in your VGT. As suggested, upgrade to the HE431Ve. It has an identical HX40 compressor to yours but a larger exhaust turbine. It is even available with a titanium compressor for much better durability in a compound setup.

The he431ve seems good choice.
My only concern is how laggy it is compared to HE351ve. It`s street truck.
The he351ve is lights up quite fast even in twin set up.
Or the bigger turbine wheel not make any big difference in VGT turbos?

If he did a 400 series he would have to build new piping right!

And if i put a larger wheel on what u have i would stick a different turbine in it also, what is ur boost and drive pressure now?

HE431 ->comp 60-85 turbine 76-67 not always.
I have he431ve and its off with some fire pump. And there is comp 55-85 and turbine 76-60 :confused:

yes, you are correct, just like how the hx35 has different sized wheels in different applications.

I cant say for sure, but I doubt it would spool any slower(60/67 431 that is), but it is all in the tuning.

In highway I tried build some boost. The DP is about 10 psi more then boost is. And its going like this up to 40 psi boost. 40...60 psi boost and the DP is like 15..20 psi more then boost is. After 60 psi of boost the DP will go up fast.
I hit 75 psi boost(second gear) and I saw the DP was way over 100+ psi( I have 100 psi gauge)
I haven made any tuning about the air cylinder which controlling the vanes yet.
