We had a great time as usual this weekend with two good hooks. Friday night at the Reno, NV state Fair, first time event in a long time at the State Fair, was a good crowd when the sun went down behind the grandstands the weather was great for sled pulling. Great job Melissa and crew!!! Hope to see this event on the schedule next year with a bigger pit area of course while we had the body up after the hook somebody spotted a good size crack in my turbo plumbing that wasn’t there prior to the hook

We all headed south after the pull to Gardnerville, NV for a Saturday night hook. When we got up Saturday morning it was hit the yellow pages hard looking for somebody with a tig welder, found one, disassembled plumbing, took it to the welding shop, put back on changed fluids tightened everything up. With an hour left before heading to the pull we decided to crab some lunch, this is were it got ugly for me, I ordered up a turkey club and devoured it no time (I can eat) 1 ½ hours later we are sitting in the pits and I am projectile vomiting all the way to the line had a good hook once I figured I forgot to open the fuel valve (wasn’t on top of my game, go figure) and after the hook more projectile vomiting and in the parking lot at the hotel even more : ( Worse I have felt in years, we assumed bad turkey and food poisoning but hey the show must go on in fact if the windows went down in the truck I might have vomited going down the track as I was holding back.

Anyway I just want to thank those fine individuals who with out utter disregard for my care offered to drive the truck so the show could go on, thanks guys

I seriously had NO idea that you were even vomitting until Joel and Connie told me. You poor thing. That's terrible, though you're ridiculous committed for sticking it out and making an awesome show for the fans. I'll post up my videos soon.

Dude, you should have said something. I have kids so I have all kinds of stuff for that in the trailer. From pepto to ginger ale and saltine crackers. I would have at least given you a place to lay down with AC.

I had a blast as always. Always impressive to see Scott drag the sled out of the arena. Even better, it was two nights in a row.

Ok, so between Reno State Fair on Friday night and Gardnerville on Saturday Night, I got a ton of video, so I'll post up the links.

Scott -

Sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well. You hid it well the few times I ran into you.

Thanks again for the shirts. Kids were very excited. My daughter used hers as a night gown that night. :D

if anybody has a video of the white 2 gen dodge that broke in gardnerville. id like to see it thanks

Scott, sorry to hear about you feeling ill, but it speaks volumes that you pulled anyway. Great Job:clap:

Was he in the street diesel class? Blue flames on the hood With dual stacks? I think it was Chris Taylor who had the same problem in Sonora. The transfer case popped out of gear when it started hopping. If this is the one, I will have my wife post the video later tonight.

Keep Strokin'

Our puking puller!

Just so long as ya didn't get any on the truck. Hope you're feelin' better :)

I'd also like to note that the video "Cole's Carnage...Again" has a stumble in it, which would be Miss Pangela completely missing a step and about taking her nose out on some railing. Go ahead, go watch it and laugh.

it was me and yes i was in the street diesel but no flames i was the one that broke a yoke only about 70 feet down the track i have a billet grille too. no stacks. i pulled #4 position

I also had a great time this weekend;
We got a speeding ticket on the way there
Got there an hour late and Brian barely let us in
I broke my pinion the first night
We had a blowout on the trailer going to Gardnerville, and didn't have a spare so we unloaded the truck and drove the rest of the way
The next day I was on my way to the pull and the front driveline came out
On the way home we had another blowout on the trailer with a tire that we bought earlier that day, Oh yeah it was one exit before we needed to get off the freeway, luckily we had a spre this time.
It was a pretty long but extremely fun weekend, can't wait to do it again next year.
I will hopefully be ready for Hollister on the 29th, anybody else going.
Thanks for the videos Angela, next time don't try to walk down stairs and film at the same time.

Damn, everybody have some nice vids SWEET

Now that I am feeling better, why in the heck did I post this in the NHRDA section :)

Apparently I was reviewing the video and did not fast foreword it to the end of our class before I started recording the extreme class. I lost pullers 3 and 4 in the street class due to my screw up. Sorry about that.....

Were you in Reno? I have all of the pullers from there on video.

I will post this later but most of you that read this are planning on attending. I talked to Dave Rovella yesterday. He said the diesels will all be in the same exhibition class. The track is supposed to bite very good and out to a full 300'+. He said last year they had a total 127 trucks at the event. It went from 7-11:45. He mentioned he may have to limit the amount of exhibition pullers at some point. Registration is $40 with 2 pit passes and $20 each additional pit pass. If you call they will fax you the rules and regs however, if we are all in exhibition then I don't know if it matters. He did mention there is no nitrous allowed at the event. I will post more info when the fax arrives.

ya i was at reno i was the first truck in street class. thought i had a good pull goin but bounced at the end and let out
