New best @ Ennis tonight

I went to Ennis tonight and ran a new best :woohoo: I ran 5 passes. 1st was a 12.6 and knocked 1/10 off every pass. Best was a 12.2 @ 110. What puzzles me is that every run was @110 mph. Not sure what's limiting my mph.

I'm running a new-to-me monster VP, hurrican 2's, and silver bullet 66. Those runs were with an edge juice on level 1 and 2.

New best for me also tonight, and.............

Boy, do I need taller tires or more gear.........LOL
2WD
60ft.......1.8688
1/8........7.6875
1/8mph..94.44
1000ft....9.9373 (coasting locked converter)
1000ft mph...107.91(coasting with locked converter)
1/4 e.t.....12.02
1/4mph....101.54

Talk about gear bound!!!!!!! LOL

Blue chip-X VP44
Silver Bullet 64
Fire Punk Trans.....thanks Lavon!!!

My best 1/8 was 7.9 @ 88, with a 1.77 60'. It seems like I'm loosing time with the shifts. I'm gonna wire up OD on a switch and see if that helps. The fast trucks I watch shift sooner, but I'm not sure how to tweak that.

Got my slips. I was wrong about my best run.

60' : 1.771
330: 5.023
1/8 : 7.771 @ 88.69
1k. : 10.182
1/4 : 12.223 @ 110.27

I feel like my 1/8 is where I want it, may be losing it on the big end.

HP dictates the MPH based on your weight..

So 110 seems right for that / those times...

The difference was probably in your 60 fts. and launching... were they all the same?

That's what confuses me. I was running around 108-109 with an SO VP and 64/71/14. My truck feels WAY more powerful now, with the monster vp and 66, but the mph is not there.
I made up 2/10 on the 60', but 4/10 @ the 1/8, from my first run which was 12.6. Every run was 88 mph @ 1/8, and 110 @ 1/4. The power is consistent, but not where it should be with this much fuel.

I would say that you're losing a little on the launch. But a 1.77 in 2wd is pretty dang good, you didn't leave much on the table there. Your mph tells the tale. A 12.2 @ 110mph matches up pretty well.

Yea, I've been thinking about nitrous, but I've already splurged for the monster. Might as well leave it fuel only for now.

I run 12.0 / 16 M&H slicks on 16x12 wheels. They spec em at 31.5"

Everything looks right on. Ur picking up 22mph on back half that's not bad. Knock the 60ft down and you'll have 11's or damn close.

do/can you set a top speed limiter in the quad? i know it removes the top speed limiter but i am not sure if you can set an upper limit with it.

Agreed.

I found it funny early on how much more MPH I would pick up when I spun on the launch now I dont even worry about MPHother than a indicator of HP.
