Been on the forum for a few months, first time posting. I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. I currently am in North Carolina serving in the Marines. Recently got my truck on the dyno at Rudy's Season Opener, pretty happy with the numbers 625/1110. Major things I have done to the truck are Fleece S467/83, ATS Twin Fuelers, RevMax 850 Trans. Still have stock injectors but I am looking into getting 250%-300% overs. The goal for the truck after injectors is to get 1000hp out of the truck. In the future I would like to run a compound set up.

Add a girdle and rods, especially if you plan to do compounds. Cheaper in the long run than breaking your block.

I do have Manton Series 5 Pushrods and Springs, just waiting until I get new injectors to put them on

I've seen the way he drives, its embarrassing when the crack heads on mopeds pass you.

There are several guys in the 950-1050hp range on a stock bottom end 6.7

A good S400 single and good tuning will get you there and still keep it alive. Tuning makes all the difference.

Thanks, I currently have Robert Ivy doing my tuning. I am looking at DDP Injectors right now for the future investment.

Robert is a good guy and knows his stuff. I personally know of/touched/sat in/driven (but definitely cannot afford) a 1040hp, stock bottom end, Robert tuned, 2011. Been daily driven with the current setup for going on 3 years now. Still on the 68RFE as well if you can believe that.

As for injectors, I personally would run exergy. 1, because I know they work great, 2, they have an excellent track record. just my 2¢ tho, (if it's even worth that much)

Ok thanks, what size injectors should I be looking at to get to 1000hp, 250%?

Think it would be smart to go with 200% if I do decide to run a compound set up in the future?

Ill look into them, I still have some time before I plan on purchasing injectors close to the end of this year

My thoughts?

If you have any inkling of a thought that the truck might grow into something more than just a daily/street truck... sure. You're going to need rods anyways if you are dead set on compounds, so might as well go full Monty while it's on the stand.

But, if you think 1,000 is plenty and can live the rest of your life with that power level, I see no point in paying extra for injectors that your tuner is just going to turn down.

I know what you mean, Im sure after a little while after I get it to 1000hp I am going to want to do more to the truck. Thanks for all the advice though!
