ok put hg and studs in a few weeks back. the truck seems to be a bit more slugish than it was before. but it other than that it seems to run the same. also might add the the turbo spools a tad faster and my egts are like 150 higher. only thing i touched on the head was cleaning all the carbon off the head, which was very caked in some spots.

I may be anal but if you don't lash the valves after you've had your head off you're asking for trouble. Did you go over your valve lash when you fastened everything back up?
well at least i know where i left them rags at now... my fuel economy hasnt changed either. yup, did valve lash, after initial tq, then after 2nd and 3rd. i might add that when i did the 1st lash cold i got the thump from the intake, which i figured i got one to tight. i did the lash hot and set them to 18 and 8 runs like it should other than the listed issue.
