Just bought a 2004 2500 crew cab 4x4! lots of questions what is normal operating oil pressure! I am used to a gas GM that runs about 60lb pressure what are some indications of a bad injector? The truck has a 8 inch lift w/ 37 inch tires so my best mileage is arount16+17 with the PPE programer set to #1 it also has the Banks ram air! one more thing I have a 45 gal tank that plays a little with the fuel gauge If i run out what is the trick to restart ? thanks for any input this looks like a great website and look foreword to maybe helping out some day thanks again

The trick to restart is DONT RUN OUT AT ALL! It's a pita to get a diesel going after running them out of fuel.

Your oil pressure will fluctuate with RPM. Normal
Low oil pressure can indicate that you have fuel in the oil. Usually caused by a bad injector.

there is a plunger or pump that will get fuel back to the injectors. Should be in your duramax supliment manual.
