New windsheild ?

I got a new windshield and it already had the mirror mount attached to it. I need to put my overhead gauge pod up but the mirror mount is to close to the top of the windshield. The guy said the mirror mount was EMBEDDED into the windshield and it will not come out without cracking the windshield. Is there a different way around this without cracking my windshield?

just put a glue on mirror tab below that one. even if you have to put it beside the embedded one and stagger it to get the height correct you won't notice it much.

That or hang a crapload of stuff you can't see around from the mirror like a teenage girl and drive around, seems to work around here.:bang
