My as I stated in my introduction I am a farmboy and have many hours riding around on a tractor. My family watches the tractor and truck pulls on speed quite frequently and my dad asked the question why they smoke. His tractor doesn't smoke. Thinking about it, they don't smoke when they hook to the sled.

the smoke is unburnt fuel! most newer diesel engines are made to run fuel efficient and not use excess fuel!

as for tractor pulling, it depends on the class, some use achohol!
