My CR is due for injectors. Well it wouldn't start lastnight at work and on the way home I had a thought. If my injectors are bypassing too much fuel, could I unplug the FCA to get it started? I'm thinking it would push more fuel to the injector to get it started then plug it back in of course. Am I just off my rocker here or could it work. I just want to get it started so I can get it home.

it may help, but the ecm will pull the fca open to the max allowable position trying to start. That is only about 71% though so unplugging could help. You can also disconnect the grid heater and give the truck a quick shot of starting fluid to get you home. Would not do it very much, but it will get it started if it is going to start.

Thanks Phale! If it don't start tonight I'm going to try it. If no go ill shoot some either to her.

Finally got it started. I don't know if unplugging the FCA worked because I forgot to plug it in the other night. Ended up plugging the block heater in and she kicked on.
