Haha, this stuff is so much fun during the winter. We had a 3000 horsepower dragster go for the ice speed record last week. it was a 600 cubic inch monster with dual 88mm turbos... it only left a 2 inch rut in the ice upon take off

you put in studs (or screws) into the tires, thousands of them. We race motorbikes on the ice up here too. It is wild.

We Ice race on bikes around here too. We use 1.5" Cold Cutter screw in trials type tire with street bike tire liner. The heads of the screw are supr sharp and should never hit any thing harder than ice. They look like a typical sheet metal screw. On good ice it's hard to get the bike to brake loose.
 
that is just sick right there i would love to stud the tires on a 4x4 and run it down the ice.
