Our collection

As often as we can, but usually once a year we'll start all of them we can when we get them out.

Chris, is that V12 and actual Allis built motor or is it another brand with their name on it? Was that motor ever used on anything else Allis had maybe in the construction side?

Chris

Allis designed and built. They built a V8 and 2 models of the V12. To date, I believe 3 or 4 of the model 65000 V12's have surfaced, 900hp with aftercoolers, none of the 800hp V12's, or 600hp V8's have been found.

They were genset only, but the V8 was tested in the HD41 dozer. 1000 hours and she was done at 650hp. Something about not being able to keep them balanced.

I got to see one run a couple weeks ago at the Gathering of the Orange on Laporte, IN...so bad@ss. Got to fire ours up now.

I also need to get pictures of our 4W-220 taken now. She's all painted up to match her big brother now.

50's model Buda Natural gas power unit. Inline 8 cylinder, 2505CID. Not sure on the horsepower, 400 maybe? Looks good next to the V12.

Went in 2001 with an enclosed trailer and 6 or 7 tractors. I think dad has been back a time or two since. I haven't made it down there in years.

Nice grounds, and they love Allis down there.

Just an FYI for ya Chris, August 18-21, 2016 is the next year that Pickneyville is featuring AC. I bet we could get a special place inside for your 6-12 if you were up for bringing it along with a few of your other rarer AC pieces.

No, not going to make it down. We're in the middle of harvest here.

It's called in Intrac. Very few were ever sold on this side of the big pond, as it was more a European design. Every manufacturer over there had some sort of design like that to double as a truck/tool carrier. Kinda neat, but slow as hell. 3pt hitch and PTO on both ends.
