piston installer?

hey guys I was wondering what style piston installers y'all are using. when I worked for the government we had a tool similar to a piece of pipe cut in half with a hinge on one end and handles on the other and it sandwiches the rings in to install it. Getting tired of the band style wearing out.

I have a lisle ridged band style. It works, heck it never hadn't worked.. I had another smooth band style but it would open oddly and i broke a set of rings..
