After reading the other thread I see its not a funny post. Sounds like a pump cam issue maybe tappet or engine cam lobe,tappet,pushrod,spring... If engine cam and valve train seem ok I would pull the pump and have it benched to make sure its even.

I've heard that noise (or something similar) a few times right before a truck stuck a plunger or rack or something. My bet is that it's something with the pump, if you say the injectors are ok.
