Over the weekend the truck lost power steering after the first hook. After tearing the truck apart the vacuum pump gear had all of the teeth sheared off of it. Has anyone had this happen on their trucks that still is running a vacuum pump? There doesnt look to be any other damage in the timing case besides a couple marks on the pump gear and a few little gauges in the timing case. Is there an aftermarket pump that will withstand pulling?
