So this is just a thread for what other people thought of the show or the event.

After getting myself lost in the sea of awesomeness which is pri. I noticed there was a huge aftermarket presence there for our fellow gasoline powered friends but not a lot when it came to diesels. I think we need more big names out there at the show displaying their products to show some of other companys and buyers we are serious about our sport and about our trucks. There were so many businesses there that had no idea what we do with diesels. I invited some of them who were curious to the track (im sure other diesel people did the same). Im not exactly sure if they came because i was busy praying that the tranny would make it home after it had an issue in practice.LOL

Anyways im just saying that if maybe we had more of a show of force besides just the race track at our own event we would have more options when it came to parts and more parts in general. Personally i would love to see some brodix, afr, or dart cylinder heads, or a world block for a cummins, duramax or a powerstroke. Or maybe even full suspension kit from eibach, trx, bmr, or etc.

Last year a couple of Diesel companies were there like Scheid, Dr. Performance and I think Banks. The whole show this year was smaller than usual. It is a slow time right now, might have to wait until things pick up a little bit.

I think PRI is on its way out. From talking to alot of companies, most went to IRP back in Indy this year

Thats possible to. It was just the first time i had been there and just looking around and im like wheres everybody at? Hopefully things pick up in general for everybody.

yes, it has been a tough yr for the motor sports industry and the diesel community is no execption. this is why companys like diesel specialists and garmon, and southern diesel put on events to pump up the buisness and the sport that we love. i can't stress enough that you join nadm or nhrda, or any diesel event this up coming yr. next yr at pri were hoping to have them sponsor our race and then theye will hopefully take notice to the diesel market. but its up to us to make it happen.

Banks dropped their SEMA booth also, economy, no doubt.

However, the seemingly small booth numbers at PRI was an optical illusion of sorts, why? Because most of what wasn't there was roundy round dirt and cart stuff that went to the IMIS show in Indy the week before.

You guys should look closer for Diesel products, also, many traditional gas hard part companies are now offering Diesel products. Expect to see several as new sponsors of Diesel motor sports for 2011!

!!

Yes, many of them came!! Some past sponsors of NADM, , some current, some new and some potential, and you are right they had no idea what Diesels can do!

I did hear from several of them, that they were much more impressed by the trucks racing down the track, than the tipsy Ricky Racer sideline wanna bes discussing what they are going to build in the future!!!:hehe:

That seems to be the normal crap talkers. I thought things went very well for a first event in cold weather for Central Florida! I would like to thank everyone who showed up! everyone behaved. Had a lot of very good racing. Not to mention how to drift a Diesel truck down the track! I would like to thank NADM, Kurt and Scott Hosting/sponcering! CFRC for wanting us to race there!

Hey Guys,

Just want to say it was great to see you all again and Thank You for putting on a great show. We had a wonderful time at PRI, the track and the SCT dyno.

I was surprised to see there wasn't much support from the diesel community at any of the events. I expected everyone to be rearing to go, especially the Florida locals.

Still I am glad we were able to attend and want to Thank Frank Bagwell for bringing his truck out to Central Florida Racing Complex on Friday night. We'll have videos of his runs up soon.

Unfortunately we were not able to dyno at SCT on Saturday because the dyno was too small for our 6.4L. We really wanted to show our very streetable 560rwhp and 580rwhp SCT files. We'll be posting dyno sheets on our website which we hope to have up today!! God Willing!

Again, Thank You!!!!

I didn't have time to make it to the show but did make the 3 hour trip up to race. We had a great time and ran some decent numbers in a stock 6 leaker. Thanks to Diesel Specialists for a great time. Scott and Kurt are a great bunch of guys thanks again..

The only issue I had as usual was the dumb aces in the pits. A good handful of guys thought it was cool to boost up and make a grand exit, the same guys that said they didn't want to break or burn up fuel.
This makes us look bad as a whole.

Saw a lot of gas manufacturers take notice of attendees asking about diesels! This helps guys, keep it up! Some of the ones last year we visited now have parts for diesels - they are noticing!

That was the reason for the race, just to show them what the racing was about, again thanks to everyone that competed - you did a great job of showing them what a diesel truck can do when handled correctly.

A little light on this year for manufacturers but for those of you who went to SEMA would have seen the same effect - less companies displaying. Most of those companies spend close to $25,000 for shows like PRI. That's a lot of dough when times are tough.

That's why NADM was in a small booth and in the back with no carpet:lolly:

Maybe one of these days!

No doubt, I was expecting maybe 15-20 trucks to be there tops and there ended up being almost 60 trucks racing. Did anyone happen to video any of the races? I'd like to see the pass I made where I skated the entire legnth of the track. LOL

1/4 mile next year?

It was a great turnout and had a good time.

Now we just need some PICTURES.

I have never been able to get Speedworld interested, I have tried many times!!! CFRC has welcomed us with open arms!

CFRC wants to run a series race program there with year-end points?

Yeah the track could be better but it's like Shambo said they welcome us with open arms.

It's up to you guys but we will support it and contribute.

Discuss amonst yourselves:group:

You can count me in...

What about Palm Beach? Its one of the nicest tracks I have ever been to. Has anyone contacted them or would this be to far for everyone?
