Problem need advice

I installed my 6 position chip and everytime I go to start my alarm light is flashing and truck wont start.After the light goes out it will start but runs very bad.I know its in limp mode but why.I recleaned the port but took some of the silver off the connector so will I need a new pcm and do I need a new one or a used one.I reinstalled my superchips and that was fine.I thought it was clean very well am I doin something wrong.:banghead:

Could be a bad chip. Was it burned for your truck?
If its an aftermarket alarm installed on your Furd they can be a pain in the rear.

some chips are different between the truck and excursion aren't they ?
