I have a 94 Cummins in a 92 Chevy 3500. It goes without saying the space is very limited. It appears the exhaust manifold and the turbo could be inverted allowing me to reroute the exhaust pipe so that so much heat is not around the firewall and wiring. Has anyone inverted one? Were modifications necessary? Thanks.

the turbo and manifold will go on one of two ways its just how you want it to set and all. as far as modifications i am not sure how much will be involved just depends. a little more detail might help others describe what your getting into.

The manifold and turbo are inverted on my Ford Cummins swap. Just loosen the bolts on the compressor housing and center section, rotate everything to where you want it, tighten it up, and install. As long as the oil drain is on the bottom, and feed is on the top it will work just fine.
