RABS valve

Anyone ever have a RABS valve go bad on their abs and have it hold pressure on the rear brakes? Trucks a 96 f250. Have one intermittently sticking and kicking the light but he called today and said the brakes got hot. Wondering if the valve could be doing this.

Nobody has run into a issue with the rabs valve? Rabs(rear anti-lock brake system valve)

Yes I have ran into this issue a few times over the years. Both on my truck and some of my customers trucks. It could be one of two things. The RABS valve is bad, (it wasnt that great when brand new) or one or both of the parking brake cables are stuck. Park brake cables are pretty cheap, and the RABS valve is pretty easy to bypass.
