Rear axle question

Does anyone know what size socket removes the pinion nut? This is on a 2003 F350 cab and chasis 4x4 auto truck. I know it's bigger then a inch and a half.

That's what I'm thinking but didn't know if it was metric since everything else on it is.

1 7/8. Probably will have to grind down the outside of the socket for it to fit... depending on how thick the socket is.

Well it's having bigger issues now so I haven't worked on it. Sounds like it has a dead cylinder now idleing.

Nope I told him to send it to Ford. I do there general maintenance and other stuff when I can. I know nothing about the 6.0 and told him it's better to ship to someone that does. No enigine lights on or anything though.
