Removal of Edge filters

What is gained by removing these in the injector or the cross over tubes? Will it really promote more fuel flow? Mine had stock cross overs and stuff liek that.

I asked how to remove it..... Just because i had taken some apart the other night because the truck had a slight miss in it and the spintle had a slight purple/bluish tint to it so we put in some other used ones.

I was just wondering. I know that if it comes out as a whole... it looks like it has to come out of the top..

Just wondering so if you know just tell me.
