I have a 90 Dodge W250 with a Dana 70 in back and Dana 60 in front. Ratio 4.10 and a Gear Vender in between. I want to change ring and pinion gears and remove the Gear Vender 'cause it's a pain in the butt and my fuel mileage ain't too great either. I pull a horse trailer or a travel trailor once in a while. What can I expect from a 3.54 setup or a 3.72 ? At 65 mph in 5th over I'm tacking nearly 2 grand. I'm not even using 1st gear. I'm also lead to believe that the Dana70 in my truck is not just a Dana 70 but a Dana D70U. How do I find out for sure before I start ordering parts?
