rod install, rings and piston question

When you pull pistons and rods, can you reuse rings and keep same hone, or should you rehone and rering?

How many miles are on them? Unless they are newer I would hone and rering. At least ball hone to knock the glaze off the cylinder walls

I have heard of it done plenty of times if the stuff is in good condition and all goes back were it came from. However I always put fresh rings and bearings in when i have an engine this far apart the stuff is usually cheap compared to the labor involved.
