Rods in 2013 motor

Have the rods or anything internal changed in the 2013 and up motors vs say a 2010? Looking to put some power to it and want to make sure as someone told me they are different.

Nothing I have read makes one year better than the other.

Piston skirts are coated and a slightly different head design. Believe rods are the same.
