Need help!!!
This will be the first time ever pulling with a manual trans. Always had auto. If a guy leaves the line at say 5000 RPM, how much will his rpm's drop when he lets out on the clutch on a good track? 1100 -1200 HP at the crank. Will you regain the rpm drop and get back to 5000 rpm as you go down the track?
Thanks Roger

Depends on how much slip your clutch will tolerate and how much grip you have!

Well Ok think of it this way roger:

If you put all tires at 65 psi, you're going to do a sit-n-spin, but there will be no rpm drop at all!

If you put all tires at 25 psi, I bet you have some RPM drop!

Somewhere in the middle lies the answer.

I will have the truck set up to hook up good. Tires will be set for best traction for the track conditions.

I've seen ~1000 rpm drop once you get under load, but that's with inline-style engine torque. I would think depends on the torque requirements of the track too.
