Rudys Spring Truck Jam March 15th 2014

Just to clarify I wasn't tryin to bash Aaron or anybody that helped put it on and I apologize for comin across that way. I think they do a really fine job at hostin the event and it's a really good turn out. And I agree it definitely has grown into a good size event and I would like to see it continue to grow and keep havin such a good turnout. Events like that give us some where to race and have a good time and not worry about blue lights behind us. If there's anyway somebody like me could help I'd be more than happy to
 
Control of alcohol will fix the majority of issues at these events, not sure where alcohol and motorsports go together in the first place.
 
I saw at least 3 fights start because some guy said another guy was starin at him haha. Rednecks alcohol and racin. Nothin like it :hehe:

Alcohol and Motorsports participants do not go together. Alcohol and spectators have always went together. I'm not saying getting out of hand is ok. It has always been the start of most stories. Point is participants and some spectators have 2 very different ideas of how they like their motorsports. I understand both sides and whether I agree or not I'm there to put on an event or compete in one. But the motorsports needs the fans as much as the fans want to see their motorsports.

Events in general

Look I'm not cutting on Rudy at all! I want no part of putting a event on. I talked to him at the event and will support him again as long as things change with the spectators/parking/4x4's. Dennis is correct we need the spectators but we don't need to be part of a drunk fest! I go to all kinds of motorsports as a spectator and I just don't see the need to act like a idiot. I never done it when I was young and I damn sure wont do it know. I got into it will a guy who pulled up and parked in are pit spot beside the trailer and thought it was ok to park there. He seen it my way and moved and later I talked to the guy again and apologized and told him he needs to respect others and there space. I don't like acting like a ass but I was ready to physically remove him and his car at the first encounter. If all diesel events are going to this style then maybe I need to do something else. People can have fun and not be wasted! My pit crew can drink with the best of them but there is a time and place for everything. Rant over and I can't wait for the next race.

I agree, but things can be done to keep it under CONTROL, such as sell it inside the event only, no outside alcohol let in, biggest thing keep it out of the pits, at your event last year I had two incidents with drunk ****s on golf carts/atvs, one ran into the weight box on our truck, got hung up and proceeded to try and drive while caught on the truck? the other as I was walking threw the crowd some drunk punk hangin on the back of a 2 seater golf cart grabed my arm and drug me a few feet and kept going. can you honestly say this is right? drinking is one thing complete drunkinness dose not belong there until you can separate the pits and crowd IMO.

Can't say enough good about Aaron and this weekend. He was gracious enough to let me park towards the end of the track next to his own personal vehicle because it was getting so crowded and there was absolutely nowhere else to put my gooseneck. Also, whoever the guy was that ran the forklift to get me onto the track with my welded front end I can't say thank you to enough as well. Getting maneuvered around in those pits was a royal SOB. Time to get that locker in I suppose. I also personally saw Aaron pull 2 girls apart in a fight and there was nothing he could do to stop that from starting. A few bad apples ruin the whole bunch I guess.

X2 the alcohol either has to be banned at this events or kept out of the pits. Its ridiculous that we had to almost get into a fight because of drunk kids trying to park in our pits and have to guard our pits all night. It takes all the fun out of an event when your worried about your stuff. The promoters make enough money to atleast hire security. Sdx last year did a good job with cops and hired security keeping the drunks under control so there is hope for this event next time with some changes.

Since you have it all figured out on what needs to be done, can you please post the dates of your event and what classes you will be having?

Make enough money?:hehe::hehe:. I spent $22,500.00 on security alone last year and will again this year. This doesn't guarantee something won't happen but it helps. Let's get back to the makes enough money part..........When are the dates for you event? I would like to attend your event as well. After the event you can get on here and tell about all the money you made. Then hopefully more people will jump on board and get a bunch of events going and everyone can make a bunch of money with problem free events:hehe:

Dennis none of this posts were an attack on Arron or you not sure why you are trying to act like we are. These threads are becoming more common about the same thing the drunk kids at these "national" events. Were you at this event Dennis?? Are we not allowed to have a voice without your competitors you have no event we are your show.

And yes Dennis I have ran and organized some truck pulls for my volunteer fire company I understand the inns and outs of a event and I understand the time that is put in for a smaller event with around 700-800 people. And as we speak I have been working for over a year to get a sled pulling track put in for our volunteer fire company and should have 4-6 events every year. I may be one a smaller scale because I don't have a large diesel performance business to back me but have some great local pulls and a good local volunteer pulling association that puts on some big local events . Anything else you wanna know

Everyone knows that there are always going to be bumps in the road when doing these events. We address them and fix the problem the best we can. It's very easy to fall to the negative side and complain about something but it's just as easy to tell about the good things that went on. The one thing that a promoter wants more than anything is for the events to be awesome. We are constantly looking for ways to make them better and will. Diesel Truck Motorsports is growing and continues to grow but we all need to stick together. I guarantee next year there will be less issues at Truck Jam, TS Outlaw, and SDX but there will be something that goes on out of Rudy's, Dan's or my control but it will be noted and fixed for the following year. I can speak for all 3 of us when I say " We definitely don't do this for the money." We do it for The sport and all of you guys/gals.

Yes, you forgot to post the dates of your event? No one is saying the drunk kids are not a problem! Every year we step it up and it still happens. The only thing you read about is negative on the events. I want to attend your event and see that there is no one drunk, acting up or otherwise doing anything wrong. I don't care what size it is or who backs it. I'm just glad your putting it on.
