Does anyone know the torque specs on a s257? I've searched high and low and came up with nothing

No problem. Make sure to use a t handle on the nut and a socket in a vise on the turbine to tighten. It becomes more important with the smaller chargers to avoid tweaking the shaft with uneven forces.

Made in house here. There were some swiss companies I found that made them but the price is quite shocking. I am sure there are more somebody else sells but we made a nice t-handle with our machining stuffs and bought quality digital inline torque adapters from crap-on. Best to have a u-joint inline with it all to keep from rocking it to one side with torque as well.

I was more curious because building a torque wrench and calibrating it is a bit ambitious. I can see building T handles and using a digital torque adapter.

The last 3 I torqued with my micrometer type didn't seem to have trouble, but twisting a high speed shaft by having a single moment arm could have its downsides.
