S400sxe

Watching for info. IIRC these were at PRI. I was more focussed on the s3 when at the booth though

The 1.58AR was standard on the 92mm turbine wheel, there was also a 1.10AR wastegated housing, you can modify the larger 88/96mm center to be used with either.

In on this. The 88 is particularly interesting. With only 10 blades and a 110 exducer, it's pretty unique. I'd like to see the map for it.

I really wish they would have offered something a few millimeters smaller with a lower trim, a 64 trim is quite high even for a low pressure application.

Am I missing something? I installed a 92mm turbine and housing onto a center section from a small turbine s400 and didn't need to modify anything.

On display on PRI 2015.

S472SX-E that should be on the marked late Q2 and if it comes with the old 0.66A/R compressor cover or the new one with the speed port in it? No clear answers jet.

Most everything borg has released for the performance side has been on their OEM side for years. It is cool they are releasing it on the performance side as their OEM piece parts are pricey though.

I'm sure as sh!t not paying $2800 for an s400.

Yeah, why not give the $100 more to go with the 500.

Agreed 100%!

As much as I obviously like my sxe300 turbo, it's hard to justify the starting prices for the supercores for the sxe400.

Now the 488 is cool and all...... but not $2400 worth of cool.

Think this way, box 480/96/1.32 around $900, 360* $200, race cover $400, fmw $200.....

So $1700 on the high side from a builder for a complete unit that's essentially the same with a turbine housing.

Then there's the sxe480 with no turbine housing for basically $1900....

The only thing that makes since to why Borg would price in so high is based of the existing sxe300 line of success.

Also like stated above there's only 100hp pickup between the 76 and the 80 so that seems like a solid option for better performance outta the 76 quicker ability to spool.

Also with the new T6 housings being divided, there's definitely some benefit there for a single T6 application with the 1.15. Not sure the divided housing will be beneficial for compounds though with the divide.

The Borg rep in the video thought the s400's would be in the $1400 range.

He spoke to soon lol! I love how they finished their post with hurry these will sell out with the blink of an eye.... well at these prices:doh:

They have always been divided...

Sense, nothing you say makes sense, since you started posting here.

Lmao, your so right "since" I was thinking about the T6 open gasket for some reason!

"Housings feature "VTF" or "twin scroll" inlets common to all S400SX T6 current designs"

Since you sense of self has been questioned enough here lately, please apply common sense to the remainder of your senseless posting since you have yet taken a perfectly good thread off the rails! Back to topic!

Turbo location for one thing will probably be why you'll see some pay the $$ for the S400 if they cant fit a S500 in there.

While they prices seem high to some, a lot will pay those prices just because they won't have to wait for a turbo shop to build a custom unit.

And the garrett equivalent is around another $1000 which is why they are competing in the mid size market. They will perform and they will sell, won't take people long to realize bb don't make chargers unbreakable or better.
