s467.7 gated or not gated

I have a 2006 dodge 2500 I will be putting a second gen style manifold and new turbo. The turbo I will be running is the s467.7 fmv. It comes with thee 83 wheel. I was trying to decide between getting a waste gate put on it or getting the turbo with the 87 wheel.

Mine was only a 12 valve, but I didn't need a gate with an 83/.9 hot side.

I've run both the S467.7/83/.90 and S467.7/87/.90, no gate needed on either. This was on a 6.7. I prefer the 87 wheel myself.
