I say go through the steps to register it RV. Once that is done, you don't have to worry about it again. The farm tags leaves it up in the air when going state to state. At this point you need to look into Federal Laws and not local state. Cause if you register Farm and go outside the radius even by 50 miles, they are NOT nice and not very forgiving. They'll nail you to the wall.

And if it is Registered "RV" and there is a purse, they can't deem you commercial...

I would argue that the purse still won't make it commercial. Most purses do not cover the total cost of pulling so no profit can really be made. Its not a business. In Va if you are pulling your own person recreational vehicle you do not need a cdl or commercial plates.
