speedo bouncing and over drive light coming on

hey guys my speedo is bouncing sporadically and my overdrive button is flashing wtf
 
You have a bad VSS sensor, or the wiring to the VSS sensor is grounding out.

It's the sensor on the very top of the rear pumpkin.
 
this bad or what i thought i might be something wiring related but didnt know cuz earleyer i heard some relays clicking and how much am i looking at here
 
Had this happen to my '99 It was a $50 dollar fix, Had it happen to my Dads '99 and we never fixed it, Just would do a quick Off/on of the key and most the time it would work again for a while
 
so there is really nothing to worry about , was the $50 fix the vss
 
I just took it into Aamco And that was my bill.. never had the problem again
