speedometer needle bounce now broke

I had a bounce in my 94 f350's speedometer around 40mph and up and i always thought it was just a VSS issue on the rear axel but now that the speedometer doesnt read anything i replaced the VSS and cleaned the surface on the rear axel. This didnt do anything and was wondering what else it could be? Its a manual 94 PSD. Thanks

Some also have a speedo cable on the back of the Tcase as well. Cable could have broke, or gear worn out. The only way to know for sure is pull the gauge cluster and see if its cable drive or wires. If is wires good luck hunting, you probably have a bad wire somewhere. Does the truck have ABS?
