I have a 2005 f250. It originally had a 6.0. I put a 2000 24 valve in it. I used the 6.0 starter.the problem is sense the weather is getting colder it does not seem to turn it very fast in the mornings. Both batteries are new so I know that's not the problem. Do these starters turn the cummins like they need too?It has not failed to start yet. I just don't want to replace it and have the same thing. Thanks

I have a 99 f350 with a 12 valve in it witha 6.0 starter and while I was home this past time (nov-dec) it was down in the 40s. I have no grid heater or block heater. It started fine just like any other 12 valve would. I have yellow top optima's mounted on the frame as well. I am located about 50 miles from huntsville.

Thanks I may need to put a starter on it. I have checked all the grounds and connections and all look to be ok.
