this is for my dads 05 duramax, when turning he get a bump feeling in his steering at low speeds.
the truck doesnt have any play in the steering.
It was took to the dealer a while back for the same thing, they greased something on the steering shaft, that worked for a while but now has come back.
I would like to know what to grease and where its at.
They said it was a pretty common problem for this trucks

thanks

Intermediate shaft between steering column and steering box shaft. There is an upgraded shaft and also a service kit (that's really just a band-aid) for the problem.

the revised shaft is also a joke, i work at the dealer and after awhile they get the service kit as well, the service kit is the cheapest way for sure!

i think borgesun makes a replacement-it may be built better, but all GM intermediate steering shafts have a tendency todo that

I fixed mine permanently. Cost me approx. $2500 but it was worth every cent!
