Stereo project is finally complete.

UNBROKEN

Ezekiel 25:17
I'm finally done...yes, done. I don't think there's anywhere to go from here in my price range. It took a while and was rather expensive but worth it now that it's all up and running.
The final parts list is a Kenwood Excelon DNN990HD, Mosconi 6to8 DSP with remote display, a pair of Mosconi AS 200.4 amps, Focal Utopia Be No*7 3 way front stage and a Morel Ultimo 12 sub. Everything was wired with Stinger products including the 8000 series RCA's and Stinger Roadkill Expert dampener. It all gets power from a DC Power 250 amp alternator and XS Power D4800 battery.

Now to tune it and tackle MECA competitions in SoCal.

Got the HU hooked up to wifi...it's basically an in dash computer that plays music. It'll even read your email and Facebook/Twitter crap to you.

So do you like the full HU vs installing a tablet? I've been thinking a lot about this for my next DD.

From my Not-So-Smart phone

I like it so far...honestly haven't had time to explore it completely yet. It's going to the tuner's place Sunday and he'll have it about a week. Once I get it back I'll figure out what all it can do.

You like the stinger road kill better than other products? I have a ton of it in my car and I'm still getting vibrations. I'm currently looking into fatmat rattle trap and looking at putting in 100-125 sqft into my jetta.

My stereo is nothing compared to yours but rattles annoy me.

Kenwood excelon 896 HU
Alpine type R 6.5 components
1200x1 memphis amp
1-10" memphis mojo in a tuned box

There is better vibration dampeners.

However your choice of gear is spectacular. Only way to improve you sq will be to go to a deadhead deck.

Everyone has differing opinions on CLD. The general consensus these days is 25% coverage with a quality product. I have 100% coverage of the entire cab with extra coverage of the doors, inner and outer door panels and roof with Dynamat Ultra light. It's dead as phuck with 3 bulk packs of dampener in a single cab truck. LOL
The CCF on the firewall, floor and back wall really helped with wind noise when driving...I'm gonna do the doors when my new door panels come off backorder and I get my hands on them. I won't do MLV...never seen an install where the carpet and panels fit right afterwards....I'm not willing to go that far.

I thought about going back to a true SQ based HU like my DRZ9255 but I didn't want a single DIN. Lewis mentioned a Panny Bottlehead but those are hard to come by so I went with features and convenience and this HU is loaded with both for sure. Plus I was able to completely bypass the internal stuff...nothing but the DAC is used...all signals go unmolested into the DSP.

The tuner is on his 3rd day of working on it...sent me a text saying he thought it would crush anything in my class in competition. That's a good sign. LOL
Considering he's tuned 3 world champ cars now including his own I'm gonna defer to his expertise on the tuning front.

Hell yeah....lol. And I am not talking about CLD tiles. There is another product on the market which is very pricey, but works by stiffening the panels to remove resonance.

With your gear list and work involved....it is no wonder it will be a true sq setup.

You hook up with Scott or Steven?

No...a guy named Jim is doing the tuning...used to have a lifter red F250 he competed with. I'll be damned if I can think of his last name right now.
