STOCK Tunes

There have been problems reported that some programmers are not restoring the stock file completely to the ECM.

When reading these files with EFILive, users will receive a message at the end of the read: Calibration Reports Incomplete.

To enable users to tune their trucks, and restore their stock files with EFILive, we've started uploading stock tunes to the Tune Library here on CompD. Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together - EFI Live Files - 2006-2007 5.9 CR Stock Tunes

To use the right tune when Calibration reports incomplete, match the four numbers in red below to the Calibration Summary screen in V8 or V7 when you pulled the tune from the truck.

2007 45325751AI (11450202) Manual Federal
2007 45325733AH (11450202) Auto California
2006 35325853AK (11352602) Auto Federal Megacab
2006 35325553AW (11352602) Auto Federal
2006 35325551AW (11352602) Manual Federal
2006 35325531AW (11352602) Manual California
2006 35325533AW (11352602) Automatic California

Flash the file as per the normal methods, then change the VIN.
Open up the scantool
Connect as a Cummins
Use shortcut key sequence, hold 'Shift+Ctrl+F9' to bring up VIN change window. **NOTE** VIN will be blank.
Enter VIN of the Truck. Ensure CAPITAL letters are used.
Press Program VIN button
Turn the key off for 10 seconds or so.

Re-read your tune with EFILive and save so you have YOUR stock tune with YOUR VIN. This is important because the VIN is used as part of the anti-theft system.
If you flash a file with a different VIN, the truck won't run.

You now have YOUR original stock file ready for tuning.

There are a number of other tunes for these vehicles that we are still working on to get in the format required and posted for your use.

If you need a stock tune, and your file isn't listed above, please read and save your stock tune with EFILive and email it to me cindy at efilive dot com.

Cheers
Cindy

Cummins isn't like Duramax with a Full flash and Cal flash option, there is only the one Flashing option/routine - it's always full flash.

This one will work for ya...

You had me worried for a minute. I was sure I was going to regret posting files at 10.45PM but did it anyway to make sure you were all taken care of.

Glad you got the file sorted, are you up and running now?

Cheers

Not exactly, I just posted on your forum. I tell ya what, I can't have anything nice! Lol!

Is there still some OS that will not be supported by this release for a 2006? When i open tune tool it say unrecognized PCM, my OS # isnt listed above mine is 11352601. Any ideas?

I've just responded to your PM. We've had a couple of reports of this issue on our forum. In both cases, the unrecognized PCM condition was caused by an incomplete installation of V7 software.

Re-install V7 and see how you go.

The OS# listed above account for the latest dealer updates. Your 601 OS is supported, but it's not the latest flash from the dealer.

Mine had a license issue or something like that on Friday night, But that was because after I downloaded the V7.5 and V8, then updated them both through the Start menu and it screwed me up both times. Just thought I'd throw that out there...

Ok, I think I'm finally all set with the flash/connectivity/stock file issues. I did notice that the transmission type is set to "manual" after I DL 35325853AK (11352602) Auto Federal Megacab. Is this going to cause any problems?

can one use these to convert a truck from auto to manual because i'm about to do the swap, and i know that the smarty will do it but i just took that off and tuned it with efi and was wondering if i would be able to convert the truck with efi alone?

That is a typing mistake in our software. The file is an Auto, Ross has changed the base code and it will appear correctly after our next update, which is scheduled for Tuesday.

Yes you will be able to covert from auto to manual using EFILive.
