Suncoast billet band

I am doing a rebuild and my original band was a red high energy friction billet band from suncoast and after two years of drag racing, sled pulling, and towing I have decided to do a compete rebuild. The band to my surprise was in decent condition so I called up suncoast and ordered another one because the band did so well, but when I recieved the new band i saw that it has a new dark grey soft material rather then a hard red material inside.? I called them up and they said this is there new better band but they couldn't tell me what material it was, anyone know? Is this band going to be as good? Or should I order a red eagle band? Truck will be more performance based rather then towing a daily driving.

They work well. The Borg Warner flex band also works well.
