Surge with spool flange

Anyone else experienced boost surging with the spool flange? Happens around 25psi. I have an external gate as well. should i delay the flanges opening point more? Is it because it is boost referenced and its fighting itself?

mine did. I think it was cracking open too soon, but I never messed with it.

I think it's opening, so boost drops a little, so it closes, and then boost goes up a little, so it opens, etc.... I may need to just close the valve a little more. Just seeing if others have seen this.

It did it even with an open boost reference.

Open reference meaning disabled? I agree with Josh, too much pressure and not enough flow. Open it sooner.

Open as in no restriction. Just a boost line straight to it, so it opens at whatever the actuator opens at.

No, you need to lower its opening point. Surge occurs because you are forcing the turbo to build too high pressure at too low flow.

Yes, and no.

Supposed to be 20-25psi.
