T-case in an 2003 Auto 2500 47re

I searched but could not come up with a sure answer. Anyways, what t-case did they put in this model? Is it a 241 because of the 47re or did they put the 271 in it?

Late 03's with the 555 motor had the 48re.

Edit: perhaps you knew this, I just re-read your post title. :doh:
Mine is a 273 (electronic shift 271). '03 555 motor. Curiosity got my fat ass outside to check quickly.

I now realize I likely was of little or no help for your cause. I will go now.

Well you atleast taught me something I didn't know....the 273 is just the electronic shift 271!

Pretty close anyway. I've never actually rebuilt both, but there is at least one internal difference. The 273 has a syncro on the engagement. I believe thats about it.

Somebody correct me if I'm in error.
