Tach Question after conversion.

I have a 95 12V motor that I installed into a 94 halfton. I have used all the factory diesel wiring from the firewall forward and left the stock stuff under the dash. Im trying to run the 6K gas motor tach....
Question is, how do it get the tach to work without changing the whole interior wiring harness and the instrument cluster???? I would rather keep the gas cluster cause the truck is an auto and the cluster from the diesel was a stick.

I have put a gas truck cluster in a diesel truck and nothing needed to be changed it just plugged right in. I'm not sure what is different under the dash of the gas truck so I guess I'm not much help
