TC Unlock Switch

2007 5.9L 48RE.

I need to know how to build a torque converter unlock switch for my truck.

Need it to work without putting the truck into limp mode if possible.

Is it as simple as putting a switch on the lockup wire?

if it is the same as an 05 you would have to cut the wire that controls the lockup. the wire coming from the transmission wouldnt need to go anywhere but you would have to send a signal to the ecm to keep it from throwing a code.
i just did something simillar to this on my truck to stop it from shifting into 4th gear, it is basically the same thing. i havent used it much but so far it has worked. pm me if you want more info and then you can decide if you want to try it lol
